Does it affect my insurance, etc? I have been given a choice of taking the points and paying the fine or doing a speed awareness course which is 6 hours long and has to be paid for.
Apparently when the police pull someone over for speeding they have to do some sort of test. If they don’t do the test and you point it out to them then they have to let you off for speeding. Can anybody tell me if this is true and what test do they have to do please?
While driving recently I *think* I got caught speeding, but I’m not sure. I have been waiting to see if I get letter in the post but so far nothing.
I was wondering though, if I had been caught, how long does it take the DVLA to send out the letter anyway? Its only cos it was on Good Friday I think I got caught and I was wondering the delay was simply because of the Easter bank holidays.
Anyone have any idea how long it may be?
Today I received a speeding ticket in the post. It has an FAQ sheet attatched which suggests three consequences, 1) Court Summons, 2) Fixed Penalty or 3) Speed Awareness Course. But do I choose which option or do the police and how do I go about making the decision when there is no box to tick on the form?
Should the police stop you there and then or do you get a letter in the post. I went on the speed awareness course in January after being caught by a static camera and now this. Prior to this I have never been caught speeding, will I get a letter in the post thank you
I’ve gotten a speeding ticket and I need a clean criminal record to volunteer where I want. Will I pass the criminal record check? (I live in Canada.
I was driving home late at night through a residential area when I passed what looked like two cops and a pedestrian. I’m pretty sure I wasn’t speeding (25mph), but one of the cops flashed a white light at me as I passed. Then he walked into the middle of the street and I saw a red light flash behind me. I want to know what the heck happened and if this means I’m going to receive a ticket in the mail. Thanks.
